Placenta Encapsulation

Mums who consume their placenta for a quicker post-birth recovery report having reduced post-natal bleeding, a richer milk supply and enjoy higher energy levels” IPEN 2011.
The placenta is a powerful ‘tool’ in supporting mothers through a healthy emotional & physical postnatal recovery. I am incredibly interested to hear how the use of the placenta helped a woman through issues surrounding postnatal depression or breastfeeding. It can be taken as a tincture, in tablets, in a smoothie or as a specifically made homeopathic remedy.
I don’t personally make or supply placenta products but I use the services of the wonderful Angela Mackenzie for my clients needs. Angela can be contacted on 07968 463656 or via angela.mackenzie@sky.com

Dried placenta has been scientifically proven to increase a breast feeding mothers milk supply.
It is extremely rich in iron and other important minerals & vitamins, all needed to replenish the body after the birth.
Essential post-birth hormones such as oxytocin (the love hormone), prolactin (the breastfeeding hormone) and CRH (our bodys stress reducer hormone) are found in rich supply in the placenta. Placenta capsules may supplement the body with these important hormones after birth.
Placenta stem cells and growth factors are now recognised around the world as specialised wound healing agents necessary for accelerated cellular repair and regeneration of damaged tissue.
Placenta specialists are trained to make either raw or TCM (steamed) placenta capsules. Benefits of both can be found on the IPEN website. Typically a placenta will make between 90-160 capsules. Capsules are taken 1-3 times a day for at least 6 weeks post birth.
I felt great taking the capsules, I felt calm and positive each day…I got on with daily chores with no problems” Quote from an IPEN placenta mum :)
