There are many routes to becoming a counsellor and both qualifications & experience are key when deciding on the right therapist for you.
I am a counsellor & therapist with over 2000 hours of face to face counselling experience to date. However I didn’t enter the world of counselling via the standard route but instead trained to be a Psychologist. I stopped short of entering onto a PHD program of study & started out in the working world post-Masters.
